So Ari and I made an exercise video today :-) I'm really excited about it. I love making videos. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment whenever I make something that I consider to be good. It's also a lot of fun to come up with ideas, as in "Ooh, that would make a good video!

I especially loved getting to do a video about working out. I am an exercise nut. I'm a regular girl. The idea of exercise doesn't always ENCHANT me. It's just that I'd rather work out then not work out. When I don't workout, I get this crappy, heavy feeling. I find that working out regularly gives me energy. It makes perfect sense. When you exercise, your heart pumps fresh blood all throughout your body. You also sweat out a lot of the sweaty toxins in your system. Yum, right?
Finding something you enjoy is the key to sticking with an exercise routine. I know it's unrealistic to ALWAYS want to exercise. It's just that if you have something you don't totally hate, you're more apt to do it. I call it the "I-hate-exercise-but-this-isn't-so-bad" exercise. (I.H.E.B.T.I.S.B for short) :-) My I.H.E.B.T.I.S.B is jumping rope. i absolutely love jumping rope. It's such a quick and effective workout. Did you know that jumping rope for ten minutes is equivalent to thirty minutes of running? Sweet. I'll take ten minutes of jumping rope over thirty minutes of running any day! I HATE running. I just wasn't born with a runner's body. Oh well. I usually do ten sets of 100 jumps each=1,000 jumps! I try to do that every day (yeah, right) more like 4-5 x's a week. :-p
Celebrities jump rope. I read somewhere that Adriana Lima jumps rope when she travels. I also read that all of the Victoria's Secret Angel's jump rope to tone up before a lingerie fashion show. Oh, and I saw in a magazine that Katy Perry likes to jump rope. I'm not really a Katy Perry fan AT ALL (ew. I mean I didn't like her before anyway, but who saw her video with Elmo? Disgusting, right?), but she does look good. You can't take that away from her. The only thing people can really do (and they did) is complain about her totally inappropriate Sesame Street segment via youtube comments, so that the creators of Sesame Street will pull the plug on her episode. I love the world, don't you? :p
So yeah, experiment and find your I.H.E.B.T.I.SB :-) Maybe give jumping rope a try? Let me know how that works for ya.
